Meital Katz Minerbo (1974) is a multidisciplinary artist, born in Jerusalem, grew up in Venezuela and currently lives and works in Tel Aviv.

Her work relates to the idea of mobility and concepts of territory and body. Her practice spans the many different mediums; painting, drawing, print, collage, engraving, photography, sculpture, video and experimental fashion design, permitting the creation of paradigmatic and encoded events/installations. Giving special attention to the intervals and spaces between the exhibited pieces enables a sense of secrecy or a hidden statement that is present in her projects. Her pursue of an alternative visual language that combines elements from popular culture and fashion with botany and nature, connects her view on plants as living creatures that are always around us and mostly imperceptible to her interest in narratives of Displacement and Otherness. Being and growing up as a woman and an immigrant in the 21st century, forged a deep need in Katz Minerbo to create a visual narrative which represents her personal experience in a critical way. Meital Katz Minerbo graduates at the Instituto de Diseño de Caracas’s Illustration Department. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Art and Education from Beit Berl College of Art (BED), and a Master in Fine Arts (MFA) from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.
